Anne Thorpen, Community Liaison

With more than 24 years of experience in healthcare marketing, business development, and community outreach, Anne Thorpen is passionate about helping families find the right care at the right time. As Community Liaison for Riverside Home Care, she serves as a trusted resource for healthcare partners, community organizations, and families, connecting people with the support they need while navigating life’s important care decisions.

Before joining Riverside, Anne spent 14 years as the Director of Marketing and Business Development for Elkhorn Valley Rehabilitation Hospital, where she led a team of clinical liaisons and built strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, and community partners. Although she is not a clinician herself, Anne was inspired by a family of physicians whose dedication to serving others shaped her own passion for patient advocacy and compassionate care.

Anne’s greatest joy is helping people by making meaningful connections, finding resources, and easing burdens wherever she can. She hopes every family she meets walks away feeling heard, supported, and confident in the next steps for their loved one. Her compassion, empathy, sincerity, and integrity guide every conversation, making her a calming and trustworthy presence during what can often be an overwhelming time.

For Anne, Riverside’s promise of “Compassionate Care, in the Home of Your Choice” is deeply personal. When her mother, Rita, needed care, Anne and her family came together to provide around the clock support, allowing her to remain in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by the people, memories, and life she cherished. That experience strengthened Anne’s belief that home is more than a place. It is where dignity, comfort, and love come together.

A self proclaimed people person, Anne finds energy in building relationships and serving others. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, spending time with her black Labrador Retriever, listening to podcasts, and relaxing to the sounds of Garden Creek flowing through her backyard. She and her husband also enjoy traveling and frequently visit their sons, Cole and Connor, in Brooklyn and Denver.

Anne approaches every interaction with the same philosophy that guides her life: lead with a kind and gentle heart. She believes that small acts of compassion, honest communication, and genuine relationships can make a lasting difference for the families and communities Riverside is honored to serve.
