Who We Are

Over 120 years of experience collectively
Riverside Home Care was founded on a simple yet powerful belief that quality care should feel personal, not clinical. For years, we’ve been providing dependable in-home care to clients across our service area, building our reputation on compassion, integrity, and exceptional service.

Beth Niemann, COO / Owner
Beth serves as Owner and Chief Operating Officer at Riverside Home Care, where no two days are ever the same. From mentoring team members and working alongside clients to problem-solve their care needs, to building strong partnerships with community referral sources, Beth is deeply engaged in every layer of Riverside’s mission.
With more than 28 years of experience serving the older adult community, Beth’s passion has always been helping seniors remain safe, comfortable, and successful in the place they call home. Her career spans roles as a paid and family caregiver, a licensed physical therapist assistant in multiple clinical settings, and leadership positions—all focused on supporting older adults.
For Beth, compassionate care, in the home of your choice means meeting clients exactly where they are in their aging journey, with dignity, kindness, and grace. One of her greatest joys is helping clients who may initially be resistant to receiving care. By investing the time to build trust, Beth has seen firsthand how the right care partnership can restore quality of life in ways families never thought possible.
She hopes that every family working with Riverside feels a deep sense of trust and that their loved ones are being cared for like family, with unwavering security and support.
Outside of work, Beth loves spending time with her family, riding horses with her daughter, and caring for the animals on their farm.
If she had to describe her approach to care in a few words, Beth would choose: holistic, comprehensive, and compassionate.

Michele Simmonds, CMO / Owner
Michele brings more than three decades of dedication to health care and senior services to her role at Riverside Home Care. She began her career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) after graduating from Weatherford College in 1994, later earning a B.S. in Psychology from Tarleton State University. Over the years, she has served in hospitals, home health, hospice, and specialized Alzheimer’s and dementia facilities—gaining deep expertise in the diverse needs of older adults and their families.
In 2013, Michele and her husband co-founded Clear Path Home Care, which grew to seven offices across Texas and earned recognition from the U.S. Secretary of Defense as a Patriotic Employer. Clear Path also partnered directly with the Veterans Administration, supporting veterans across North Texas, and was honored as a “Best Place to Work” in 2023. Michele also played a pivotal role in chartering the Texas Chapter of the Home Care Association of America, helping to ensure a stronger voice for home care providers at both state and federal levels.
At Riverside, Michele’s vision is clear: to deliver compassionate, community-rooted care that helps older adults live with dignity and independence in the home of their choice.

JM, Owner / CEO / Administrator
As Owner, CEO, and Administrator of Riverside Home Care, JM brings a unique balance of leadership, strategy, and heart to every aspect of the organization. His day often spans multiple roles overseeing financial planning, operations, compliance, licensing, and long-term growth all while ensuring Riverside continues to serve families with integrity and excellence.
JM’s inspiration for working in home care is deeply personal. After helping his father and two grandmothers navigate their later years, including caring for his father after a major stroke, he developed a passion for helping families create meaningful and dignified care experiences. That experience drives his commitment to building teams that bridge the gaps for families who need guidance and support.
Before founding Riverside, JM spent over a decade as CEO and owner of Clear Path Home Care, growing the company into one of the most trusted names in the industry. He brings that wealth of experience to Riverside, shaping a culture rooted in professionalism, compassion, and collaboration.
For JM, Compassionate Care, in the Home of Your Choice means providing respectful, reliable support wherever home may be, from private residences to assisted living communities. He believes in fostering relationships built on trust, communication, and teamwork, helping families feel that Riverside is an extension of their own.
Outside of work, JM enjoys spending time with his wife Michele and their son Grady, golfing, fishing, skiing, and finding peace in the great outdoors. He also has an eclectic love for music from classical to 80s rap and believes every genre has its story.
If one word defines JM’s approach to leadership and care, it’s collaborative, bringing people together to make a difference, one family at a time.

Karri Benedix, Care Relationship Manager
Karri serves as Riverside’s Care Relationship Manager, bringing more than 16 years of experience in home care to the role. Her days are dedicated to supporting both families and caregivers—whether it’s answering questions, easing concerns, or ensuring that each client has the compassionate care they deserve.
Her journey in the field began as a caregiver, and within just a few months she advanced into leadership roles, including scheduling and management. This path taught her the importance of not only caring for clients, but also caring for the caregivers who make home care possible.
For Karri, compassionate care, in the home of your choice is more than a phrase—it’s the reason she loves what she does. She believes there’s something truly special about helping someone remain in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by the memories and spaces that mean the most to them. One of her greatest joys is seeing the relief on families’ faces when they know their loved ones are safe, supported, and cared for.
Outside of work, Karri enjoys spending time with her family, playing card games, going on walks, and riding motorcycles. She’s also a huge music fan and movie buff—always ready with a fitting one-liner from a favorite film. If she had to sum up her approach to care in one word, it would be: Passion.
