Tara Emch,
Community Liaison
For Tara, serving as a Community Liaison with Riverside Home Care feels like coming full circle.
After college, Tara returned to school with dreams of becoming a nurse. While life ultimately took her in a different direction, her heart was always drawn to caring for older adults. She believes seniors deserve to be seen, heard, valued, and remembered, not simply for the care they may need, but for the lives they have lived and the stories they have to share.
That passion became even more personal when Tara’s mother experienced a serious fall that led to an ICU stay followed by six months of rehabilitation. With family members living across the country and her father exhausted from caregiving, Tara saw firsthand how overwhelming it can be for a family to navigate what comes next. The support of an outside caregiver made an incredible difference for her family and deepened Tara’s desire to help others through similar seasons.
Tara has called Evergreen, Colorado, home for more than 20 years and has deep roots in the community. She has worked with local nonprofits, including the Evergreen Players and the Evergreen Area Chamber of Commerce, and has served on several community boards. Through those experiences, she has built meaningful relationships throughout Evergreen and the surrounding mountain communities.
At Riverside, Tara brings those relationships together with her heart for service, helping families connect with the care, resources, and support they need. Her goal is to build trust, listen closely, and help families feel confident that they have made the right choice for someone they love.
For Tara, “Compassionate Care, in the Home of Your Choice” means helping people maintain their independence and dignity while giving their families greater comfort and peace of mind. She believes in listening to each family’s individual needs and being a trusted resource during what can often feel like an overwhelming journey.
Outside of work, Tara loves spending time with family and friends, especially her two grandchildren, Landon and Evie. She also enjoys entertaining and volunteering in her community. A fun fact? Tara grew up living all over the world, but for more than two decades, Evergreen has been home.
