Laura Roberts, Community Liaison

As Riverside’s Community Liaison, Laura is passionate about building meaningful relationships throughout the senior care community. She serves as a trusted resource for care partners, helping ensure families have access to compassionate, high-quality support when they need it most. Her days are centered on connection — strengthening partnerships, guiding families through transitions, and helping Riverside remain a dependable go-to resource for senior care solutions.

Laura’s career in healthcare began nearly 20 years ago as a music therapist. With a lifelong love of music and a natural ability to connect with older adults, she found her calling in serving seniors across skilled nursing, hospice, and memory care settings. Her background allows her to build rapport quickly, assess needs thoughtfully, and help families create clear, compassionate plans forward.

For Laura, Compassionate Care in the Home of Your Choice means honoring that “home” can look different for everyone — and sometimes change over time. Whether in a private residence or a community setting, she believes caregivers should enter each space with respect, warmth, and the commitment to keep that home safe and comfortable.

One of the most meaningful moments of Laura’s career was working with a hospice patient who had once been an accomplished pianist. Through patience and gentle encouragement, Laura helped her reconnect with the piano one last time, allowing them to make music together before she passed. Experiences like this remind Laura that care is not only about support — it’s about dignity, connection, and honoring what matters most.

Families who work with Laura often move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling at ease, confident that thoughtful solutions are on the way. Her approach to care is best described in one word: empathetic.

When she’s not serving families, Laura enjoys traveling the world (she’s visited Belgium six times!), planning adventures for others, crocheting, and spending time with her husband and their cat.
