Riverside Rhythm Makers
Because Every Memory Has a Melody
Join Riverside Home Care as we walk across Colorado and Wyoming to support families impacted by Alzheimer’s and dementia.
In partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, our team is raising awareness, supporting research, and walking for every family affected by memory loss.
Music has the power to unlock memories, create connection, and bring comfort even during the most difficult stages of Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Through Riverside Rhythm Makers, our team is coming together to support families, honor loved ones, and raise awareness through community walks, storytelling, and fundraising efforts across Colorado and Wyoming.

Music, Memory, and Meaning: Why Riverside is Walking to End Alzheimer’s
Alzheimer’s and dementia impact millions of families every year, changing the way loved ones connect, communicate, and remember.
But even when memories begin to fade, something remarkable often remains — music.
At Riverside Home Care, we have seen firsthand how music can spark emotion, connection, and comfort in ways words sometimes cannot. That is why we are proud to launch Riverside Rhythm Makers, our regional Walk to End Alzheimer’s® team supporting communities across Colorado and Wyoming.
In partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, Riverside Rhythm Makers brings together caregivers, families, staff, and community members to raise awareness and support families impacted by Alzheimer’s and dementia.
A major part of this campaign is centered around Laura Roberts, Senior Music Therapist, whose work in hospice care has shown the incredible role music can play during difficult moments.
“Music reaches places Alzheimer’s cannot,” Laura shared. “Even in moments where communication becomes difficult, music often creates connection again.”
Throughout the campaign, Riverside Rhythm Makers will participate in community walks, fundraising efforts, educational outreach, and storytelling initiatives leading up to The Longest Day on June 21, one of the Alzheimer’s Association’s largest awareness and fundraising days.
Our goal is simple:
To bring hope, awareness, compassion, and support to families walking through Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Whether you donate, walk beside us, or simply help spread awareness, every step makes a difference.
Because every memory has a melody.
